What is Microblading?Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call it a microblade), to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin. Microblading is a shallow tattoo implanting into the first layer of skin.
-
What is PMU?Permanent makeup or PMU is when a micro-pigmentation is implanted into the skin, either by a hand tool or a machine. Essentially, permanent makeup is a tattoo that resembles makeup to enhance a certain feature of your face, such as enhancing brows, defined lash line & pigmenting lips. Each PMU service is the same procedure however, each service has its own techniques. PMU & Microblading are both Cosmetic Tattooing and require a tattoo license. My tattoo license # is CT: 475 validation No: 18631273 The Benefits: Long-lasting, beautiful results Fill-in gaps, thicken and enhance your brows Creates a natural, effortless look Forget about meticulously filling-in your brows
-
Is PMU or Microblading Painful?Nothing in tattooing is pain free. However, 30 minutes of your appointment is anesthetizing "numbing" the area to be tattooed, ie, Brows, Eyes, Lips. A cream containing tetracaine, lidocaine & epinephrine is applied to the treatment area and covered for 25/30min before beginning the procedure. A sterile anesthetizing liquid is then used on the treated area throughout the procedure to keep you numb & comfortable. guests report no to minimal discomfort.
-
What is the difference between microblading & PMU?For microblading, the technician is using hand tool with affixed grouping needles. This method is manual and used in the eyebrow area. pressure (requires a skilled hand) is applied to the manual had tool to create realistic hair like strokes into the very tio layer of the skin, like a small scratch. Microblading does not last as long as permanent makeup. This is simply because a much smaller amount of pigment is inserted into the very top of the skin. reason for this is so the pigment doesnt spread over time. For permanent makeup, we use the device with a medical certificate that has a unique patented magnetic motor to ensure the super exact single needle guidance – for micropigmentation which is particularly gentle on the skin and good for every skin type (even very oily).
-
How long does the procedure take? The following you will find a list of booking times for each Microblading/PMU service excluding Refreshers. -
What is the recovery time? The skin might be red and swollen for a few hours after the procedure. The color directly after the procedure is about 30-50% darker than the final result. During the healing period, you will experience oozing, scabbing and peeling of the skin in the treated area. It will take about a week to heal, sometimes longer. Depends on what type of procedure you have. Aftercare directions should be followed.
-
How long does it last?It is long lasting makeup that stays on for about a year and a half to two years, in some cases 3 years plus. It depends on your skin type, general health, your lifestyle, the colors used during pigmentation, technique, sun exposure, topical cosmetics used on the skin and pigmented area. It is considered permanent because the ink is deposited into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. Periodic maintenance is required since pigment may fade with time. Annual touch up is a good opportunity to reevaluate design. You can discuss any color or shape changes with your technician. While the concept of permanent makeup seems to be a good idea it is designed to fade. Just think how your tastes have changed over time.
-
Are these procedure painful? Most people experience some discomfort. This will vary according to each individual’s pain threshold. Having a semi-permanent procedure is less painful than getting a regular tattoo. Numbing creams and liquyid anesthetizing "numbing ' is used before the procedure and also during it. Usually pain level is none to mild, but it is an individual thing. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed. Eyes and lips usually are more sensitive than eyebrows.
-

Permanent lip color swelling is a bit more noticible. This is very dependent upon the amount of work performed and the individual
-
How does the healing process look like? You may experience minor swelling and redness on a day of your procedure. You may experience some minor redness and skin peeling (scabbing) during the first week. The color will look darker and shape might be Sharpe. After about a week, the color and edges will soften. While healing treated area will gently exfoliate and you will lose some color. This is a normal process. The final result will be visible after 3-4 weeks when pigment will stabilize in the skin. OUTER HEALING completes in about 3-6 days for eyes, 7-10 days for lips. Inner healing completes in 1-2 months.
-
How long does it take to heal?Usually, the healing process takes between 7 to 14 days for topical healing, depending on the procedure you had and skin type. Please always follow aftercare recommendations.
-
Will i loose borw hair after the procedure?PMU and Microblading does not harm your hairs in any way. The pigment should go only under the upper layer of your skin, whereas your hair follicles are located much deeper.
-
What is the difference between PMU and Tattooing?Semi permanent makeup is a long-lasting makeup. It doesn’t stay forever like a regular tattoo and it’s not so deep in the skin as a regular tattoo. The pigment is deposited only into the first layer of the skin (Epidermis). Pigments for semi-permanent makeup are tested in the laboratory by doctors and specialists to make sure they are completely safe. Pigment fades over time, because of the skin natural exfoliation process. To keep the fresh color a touch up is recommended usually after one to two years.
